Harbor Island is located 20 minutes south of historic Beaufort, South Carolina. If you are looking for a private, two and one-half mile beach located in a gated community with access to a shared swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court, volley ball, playground, cardio and weight room, Harbor Island is for you. Our home was designed to accommodate several families, making it an ideal multi-family gathering place.
The Sailfish has three master suites, each with a private bath and king bed. The fourth bedroom consists of 2 bunk beds, that is 4 twins, and the fifth has two full beds, designed for older children. These two rooms share a large hall bath, perfect for bathing the little ones. The Sailfish has 3300 heated square feet with 750 square feet of covered porches and sunning deck.
Previous guests consistently remark on our kitchen, the view and game room. The view from the house, which can be seen from the master, guest master, kitchen and great room, covered porch, upstairs guests master and sunning deck has been painted by several local artists and are available at the many fine art galleries on Saint Helena and Beaufort. The view is the Atlantic Ocean, Johnson Creek, marsh, the natural sand dunes and beaches of Hunting Island. Hunting Island State Park is about 5000 acres of natural low country beauty and is located directly behind The Sailfish.
The kitchen, great room and dining are one large room. The kitchen is large with plenty of space for several cooks, which you need when you have several families. The four bedrooms, kitchen, great room, dining and covered porch, which seats twelve, are located on the main floor, this is convenient for parents with small children. The third guests master, game room and sunning deck are located on the second floor. The game room consists of a full-size slate pool table, foosball table, card table and wet bar, complete with mini-fridge, microwave and small sink, 55 inch TV, Blue ray . The children tend to hang out here, complete with sofa and chairs. The view is spectacular!
Two golf carts are included in the rental. The beach, swimming pool with kiddie pool, playground, tennis courts, cardio room, and weight room are all just five minutes away on the golf cart. Linens are provided just bring your beach towels.
Brazilian cherry floors on the main floor and pine on the second floor. The great room and kitchen combo have ten foot exposed ceiling with beautiful custom cabinetry. A 55 inch Flat Screen Smart TV is located in the great room with blue ray and surround sound (exterior speakers on large covered porch w/separate sound system), 32 inch flat screen TV is located in the master,a 32 inch flat screen TV located in the guest master down, a TV/DVD combo is located in the full-size bedroom and the Guest Master upstairs has a 27 inch TV. The home is professionally cleaned and the fee is included with a weekly rental. The Sailfish is a non-smoking residence, please no pets. Minimum age of renter 28. Cancellation refund is 100% minus $175 cancellation fee for cancellations made prior to 60 days of arrival date. Additional information about rental rates
Two gate passes and the departure cleaning fee are included with weekly rental rates. They are not included in nightly rates. The departure cleaning fee is $175.00. Gate passes are: $11 per night for 1-5 nights. $70.00 for a 6-7 night stay.
