26 Hickory Cove is in a gated community inside Palmetto Dunes Resort and one of the best locations on the island! We are on the 18th tee of the renowned Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Course and a 5 minute walk to the beach without beachfront pricing! Our villa is perfect for couples, families and golf/tennis getaways. Newly updated living room includes a recliner and 50" TV. The beach is an easy 5 to 6 minute walk down a paved path with golf, tennis, kayaking, The General Store and restaurants a few minutes more. Discounts are also provided to our guests for bike rentals at Island Cruisers and parasailing at Island Head Watersports.
The open kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of counter space. It includes a full size coffee maker and a Keurig for those single cups so bring your favorite flavors. Place settings serve up to 12.
Our spacious updated villa offers two bedrooms , a loft and three full bathrooms. Sleeps 6 comfortably but can accommodate up to 8. The over-sized master bedroom, located downstairs, has a king size bed, full bath and sliding glass door to the deck overlooking the golf course. Upstairs has a large bedroom with two double beds and full private bath. This is where you will find an out of the way balcony right off the bedroom also overlooking the golf course. It is just right for an escape with a book, snack or drink. The loft with a twin bed, twin trundle and TV/DVD is perfect for kids.
A large downstairs deck has privacy and flows right into the backyard for plenty of relaxation or playing a little corn hole or bocce ball. There is also a Weber charcoal grill on the deck for your personal use.
Three separate HVAC systems allow settings for your personal comfort in main living area, master bedroom and upstairs.
The beautiful community pool has been resurfaced and has new decking with plenty of chairs and loungers.
Palmetto Dunes is a secure, gated community with boutique shopping in Shelter Cove along with close by conveniences of Walmart, TJ Maxx, full service grocery stores, etc. a short drive away. The Dunes Buggy is a free on-demand shuttle to anywhere in Palmetto Dunes including Shelter Cove Marina, Shops and Restaurants. This shuttle runs from April through September only.
