The downstairs bedroom includes a queen and a twin bed along with a full bath. You'll be captivated by the spectacular ocean front views from the floor to ceiling windows lining the walls of the family room, dining room and master bedrooms. A distinctive hallmark of the house is the screened porch with rocking chairs that offer a serene outdoor escape perfect for days and nights alike. So, get ready to share an honest laugh echoed with the rumble of waves crashing against the sand and Fripp out!
Fripp Island is 3 1/2 miles long ensuring that all amenities are close. Paved biycle, skating or jogging trails traverse the island. Wildlife is abundant. Deer, racoons, herons, egrets, ospreys and alligators are common sights. Loggerhead turtles lay many nests on Fripp each year. Nature centers on Fripp and nearby Hunting Island provide hours of enjoyable activities on the beaches, in the forests or marshes. Once you arrive, park the car and rent a golf cart for island transportation.
There are two golf courses located on Fripp. Ocean Creek Golf Course was designed by 1997 PGA Champion Davis Love, III (par 71, 6629 yards) and has won honors from Golf Magazine and The Golfer. Ocean Point Golf Links was designed by George W. Cobb (par71, 6556 yards) and is a links-style course where the land meets the sea. South Carolina National Golf Club is on nearby Cat Island and can also be accessed by our guests.
There is Camp Fripp for the kids to get away from their parents for a couple of hours during the day and to take in other activities, meet other kids and give mom and dad a chance to relax.
Hollywood had discovered Fripp Island to be fascinating as well. The Ocean Creek and Tidal Marsh areas of Fripp were used as film sets for both Forrest Gump and Disney's The Jungle Book!
We encourage all renters to stop at the grocery stores in Beaufort or right outside of Beaufort on 21 to get all of the supplies that you will need for your stay. We usually prefer to stop at the Publix on 21 right outside of Beaufort. These supplies should include paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent and soap. There are a few beach chairs but it would be advisable to bring some from home as well. Some other beach items that you may want to bring include a beach umbrella, a cooler, beach towels, and sunscreen.
