From the carriage house, there is a 7 minute ride to all that charleston's historic district has to offer. This includes the visitors center, the old market, the new library and aquarium, the aiken-rhett house, the harbor and all charleston museums.
Within a few blocks there are many excellent restaurants, shops, galleries, and of course historic homes which many are open to the public for numerous house and garden tours that are offered each year.

Boone hall planation (where north and south filmed) is a 7 minute drive from our carriage house, and midddleton and magnolia plantations are a twenty minute drive.
Within a 10-15 minute drive are the white sandy beaches of sullivans island and the isle of palms. The area, both mt. Pleasant and charleston, are renowned for its many golf courses.
Our carriage house is a 20 minute drive from charleston international airport.
Savannah is a two hour drive from us, charlotte is a three hour drive, and beaufort is one and a half hour drive.
