Once the cleaning crew leaves the space (cleaned to CDC standards) is all yours.
Your coded access will give you entry. No exchange of keys or in-person contact and no shared hallways, outdoor spaces, laundry, doorknobs, etc for your entire stay.
○ BEACH IT
The access path across from house is mid-block access which is a much lesser used access than others with parking. With beach is so close, you can set up & go back to your house for bathroom, snacks, beverage refreshers, or beach break. Low tide provides the most sand for beach go-ers. Watch the tide chart and plan your beach trips around high tides. Remember, beach equipment is included with your rental!
○ BEACH COMBING
Folly Beach is known for its abundance of shark teeth washing up on the shore. Take a walk anywhere on the shore and keep your eyes out for shark teeth and shells. Look for shiny, smooth, (mostly black) triangle shapes objects.
○ WALK EVERYWHERE
The cottage location means not needing to use your car and deal with parking lots, parking fees (and contacts).
○ RESTAURANT OUTDOOR DRINKS/DINING & TAKE-OUT
All island restaurants are a level 2-7 minute walk away, and offer take-out options. Most places also have outdoor dining options in addition to carry out. The city has implemented a temporary ordinance to allow restaurants to carry seating into their respective parking spaces (with barricades) to create additional opportunities for social distancing.

Yes, water sunsets from an East Coast shore! The Folly boat ramp is within walking distance offering a variety of sunsets with the Ashley River as the backdrop. Drive or bike to the Folly Beach County Park on the west side of the island for breathtaking beach/marsh sunsets depending on the time of year. With over 2,500 feet of ocean frontage and 200 feet of River Frontage and a large parking lot, there is plenty of room to spread about.
○ BERT'S 24 HOUR MARKET
At only 200 steps away, Bert's provides the basics, beers, snacks, beverages, frozen foods, fresh food, meats, plus specialty gluten free, vegan, and organic options. Other ready-to-eat options cure any craving, but Bert's also has their own made-to-order wraps and
sandwiches. It's also a dessert heaven with hand-scooped ice cream, home-made pastries and cakes!
○PARKS/PLAYGROUNDS
WAVE WATCH and PIRATE’S COVE PLAYGROUND (w/Tennis & Basketball Courts) are within walking distance to the East and to the West.

Currently, Masks are required in public locations and when 6 feet of distancing
cannot be achieved. This means servers and store clerks are also wearing masks for your everyone's protection. (March 2021.)

Your safety is of extreme importance to us. In between each guest, Sweet Coralina will be cleaned and disinfected per CDC recommendations. Note, if you've stayed with us before, the checkout time has changed to 10am to allow for this extra cleaning.

A fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher provides all the essentials to prepare your meals with dining for 6 in sun room and a breakfast nook for 2 at the kitchen island.
Sweet Coralina is roomy enough for 6 or 7 with arrangements as follows:

Living Area: 2 New Twin Sleepers with 4.5 inch memory foam mattresses

The living room has a new 43 inch Smart TV with YouTubeTV subscription included provides you with local channels and more free options. Use your own account information to access Netflix, Hulu, Sling, Prime Video and more.
Other amenities: 2 bikes for your use and some various sporting equipment
Bed and bath linens are included as well.
This cottage is licensed with the city, Folly Beach License #83-4623575, and is a no smoking/no pets rental. (Confirm by searching City of Folly Beach/Verifying Short Term Rentals)

Contact less Coded door self-entry for both front and side doors. Your rental includes the entire home, outside decks, yard, parking, and half of shed (laundry and beach/sporting gear.)
What can be a typical day at Sweet Coralina?
In the morning, set your alarm for just 15 minutes prior to sunrise and take the 2 minute stroll to the beach for some of the most amazing sunrises you will ever see! Back at home, make yourself some hot or iced coffee and with a full-service kitchen, make your breakfast as simple or elaborate as you choose.
Grab one of the two provided bikes and take a tour of the island. Head 4 miles east to the Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve or 2 miles west to the Folly Beach County Park. In the mood for some tennis? Grab the rackets and balls and head about 5 blocks to Folly Beach city park on Erie street.
Heading to the beach? Grab the supplied beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie board, sand toys, and take the path to beautiful Folly Beach. The walk is simple with no stairs and mostly shaded in the afternoon. During Summer season, the access leads to the most popular life-guarded part of the beach, just watch for the posted swim area signs. The beach is close enough to simply run back home for lunch rather than packing a cooler.
When you are beached-out for the day, return home and use the Solar-powered outdoor shower with foot rinse to free yourself from the sand and the salt. If you are a sunset freak (like me), check the sunset time and decide which Folly location will be providing your sunset of choice.
If you are enjoying a relaxing evening at home, dinner can made on the charcoal grill provided and can be served on the enclosed porch with seating for six. Get the blender out for a pitcher of margaritas, dim the lights, and hang out on the comfortable wicker chairs or grab one of the board games for a family fun night. If you decide on carry-out, all Folly restaurants are walk-able. If a sweet tooth hits, you are only 200 steps from fresh-baked goods and ice cream at Bert's 24 hour market!
If going out is on your agenda, you are only 5 minutes from Center street - the heart of the action on Folly Island. With options such as: steak, seafood, sandwiches, Italian, Mexican, Hawaiian, or Irish cuisine, Folly offers enough variety to satisfy any palette!
Spend the rest of your evening enjoying everything that Folly social life has to offer. The bar scene provides a variety of island drinks along with the friendliest mix of multi-generation tourists and locals. Bar hopping will give you a variety of great conversation, a dj, or live music to dance the night away. Various activities such as karaoke, trivia, and bingo are scattered among the lively calendars too.
As you return the few blocks home, head to the sunroom, dim the lights, and in the still of the night, open the windows and listen to the waves.
Folly boasts a variety of other activities such as: fishing, sailing, and dolphin watching charters, surfboard, kayak, golf cart, and paddle board rentals, beach combing, shelling, and shark-tooth hunting.
While you can spend your entire vacation without leaving the island (or getting in your car) visit the surrounding areas for more vacation options. See the 400-500 year old Angel Oak tree on John's Island and many things in Charleston. Choose from sight-seeing boat tours/harbor cruises, horse-drawn carriage tours, museums, Fort Sumter, South Carolina Aquarium, and a variety of ghost/haunted & historic tours (walking, bus, and boat.)
